Diablo Free Ride Park, New Jersey

Opening day at Diablo Free Ride Park in New Jersey is April 30th. A co-worker and his buddies are going and I’ve been invited. Leaving on Friday, riding Saturday and returning Sunday. Am I going? Hell yes. Can I get my other friends to go too? I freakin’ hope so. Adam, Brian, Eric, Sean – I’m looking at you guy.

Sexy interior color combinations

My E92 328i has black and red leather interior with aluminum trim. The aluminum is OK but this is just plain sexy:

I’m tempted to pick up some 3M Di-NOC material and wrap the aluminum trim. Mmmmmm.

The Abominable Scroogeman

After a few months of listings my motorcycle on Craigslist it finally sold. Not that I was pushing it all that hard to begin with. After the sale I decided to take the cash, a stuffed Abominable Snowman character and pull out the camera. Besides, how often do you get to do something like this?

I probably took a total of sixty shots and narrowed them down to these to finals.

I remember Scrooge McDuck from watching the animated series DuckTales growing up as a kid. It was clearly my inspiration for this shot.

Goodbye E53. Hello _____.

Fuel costs aren’t going down, that’s for sure. Owning the X5 reinforced that fact every time I went for a drive. The 4.4 liter V8 was sipping fuel like it was it’s last breath, to the tune of 12 mpg in the city and 16 mpg highway. Can’t do any longer. No sir.

The past few weekends were spent driving around looking for a suitable replacement. The criteria for the new [used] car was that it had to be fuel efficient, with a rating of at least 18/26 miles per gallon. It had to be comfortable enough for long drives, it had to be fun and it had to be able to store my mountain bike for around $22k. There were a few options I had in mind. The 2011 V6 Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T, Nissan’s 370Z, and BMW’s 1 and 3-series coupe. Read more ›
